Competitors and format

Popularized in Brazil mainly through Pluto TV, the format is known as “Fast” and is short for “”.free ad supported streaming TV Channels”. In Portuguese the concept can be translated into something like “advertising free TV channels”.

According to streaming industry executives interviewed by The Wall Street Gazette , Fast has attracted the attention of many viewers as it offers a more “convenient” consumption experience. There is a kind of greater “pressure” on other streaming services because people have to choose what to watch.

Chris Buchanan, president of streaming consultancy South Medio Partners, said this Fast model of streaming shows, shows, series and movies is “the macaroni and cheese of television and movies.” .
