In the nine months to 2022, Russian companies increased their selling and administrative expenses by 2.1 trillion rubles, to a record 18.9 trillion rubles. Spending increased more in the areas of commerce, manufacturing, mining, transportation, and storage, as well as in the field of professional, scientific, and technical activities.

In total, these five macro-industries contributed more than 80% of the increase in all business spending, calculated the analytical service of the FinExpertiza audit and consulting network.

Average costs for the reporting period in terms of each company increased by 9.7% and amounted to 328.5 million rubles.

Moscow, the Moscow region, St. Petersburg, the Kemerovo region, the Krasnodar Territory, the Sverdlovsk region, the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District, Tatarstan, the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Novosibirsk Region lead in terms of growth of the spent.

The reduction in spending was observed in five regions: the Kaluga region, the Kaliningrad region, Kabardino-Balkaria, the Astrakhan region and Kalmykia.
