The developers at Creative Data Studios have created a ChatGPT plugin for Microsoft Word without the involvement of Microsoft. The solution comes in two versions, both paid. Microsoft itself has so far integrated the GPT model into Teams Premium and plans to add it to the Bing search engine.
Creative Data Studios has introduced a “revolutionary writing assistant” in the form of a ChatGPT plugin for the Microsoft Word text editor.
The plugin is called Ghostwriter. The developers have made it paid: the basic version with a two-paragraph limit for responses costs $10, the advanced version has no restrictions, it costs $25. The add-in can be installed through the Office Add-ins Store.
Creative Data Studios plans to release plugins for the entire Microsoft office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote) in the near future.
Microsoft previously integrated GPT-3.5 into the Teams Premium service, the neural network generates conference summaries online. In the future, Microsoft plans to add ChatGPT to the Bing search engine. The Corporation hopes to provide users with more understandable and contextual answers to queries.
