The American film company Walt Disney will not sign new licensing contracts in Russia. This is reported by Vedomosti with reference to representatives of Russian video services.

Also, Disney has no intention of renewing existing contracts with Russian companies. Upon expiration of the contracts, the film company will withdraw its content from Russian platforms. This will happen in March 2023.

Disney content is presented on all major Russian video services: Kinopoisk, Okko, ivi.

After the start of the special operation in Ukraine, Disney, like other Hollywood film companies, stopped releasing its new items at the Russian box office. In November 2022, it became known that Disney had closed its film distribution department in Russia.
