This is a fairly common test to determine the presence of an antigen in a biological fluid sample. With its help, specialists are engaged in the detection of bacteria.

And so, the team of American scientists was able to increase the sensitivity of the test by adding ultra-bright fluorescent nanobeacons known as plasmonic fluorophores.

Newly printed plasma ICA technology is 1000 times more sensitive than conventional test strips and delivers results with an accuracy comparable to most common laboratory antigen and antibody testing systems. Only this is done not for a day, but in just 20 minutes.

According to experts, the results of this scientific study represent a significant advance in medical diagnosis, as they provide a much more accurate and efficient method for detecting the presence of an antigen in a biological fluid sample.
