50% of Russians have found a replacement for the foreign brands that left

Most of the buyers switched to local brands to support local manufacturers. Another 20% began to buy Russian products due to the inability to find foreign analogues of the brands that left that would suit them at a price, RIA Novosti reported with reference to a Nielsen study.

Most of all, the transition is noticeable in the categories of Russian-made baby food, household chemicals and soft drinks. Many manufacturers in 2023 predict the expansion of the range and plan to introduce new products.

  • In early February, the owners of large shopping malls decided to launch their own brands amid the departure of foreign clothing brands.
  • In July 2022, the Tashir group decided to launch the Zebra Home chain of household items. At that time, more than 150 million rubles were invested in the project.
  • Russian clothing chains Lime and Stockmann have also shown interest in the homewares market. The first points may appear as early as 2023. Now the main participants in this market are Tvoy Dom, Hoff, Domovoy, Leroy Merlin, Cozy Home.
