The company said executives are taking salary cuts to stabilize the balance sheet while the DRAM and other chips market is still recovering.
Micron spokesperson Tate Tran confirmed that the overall staff reduction is expected to be 15% in 2023. The cuts will be extended throughout the year.
“In some organizations and regions, cuts will be above the company average, and in others less,” Tate wrote.
The company has dozens of offices, production and research facilities around the world.
