Microsoft announced Windows 11 build 226211343, also known as Moment 2 of the 22H2 version of the operating system, to Insider program participants on Wednesday (21). Other users will be able to check for the update in March.
The update brings a new tablet-optimized taskbar that shrinks when not in use and expands when the user taps or swipes for a full-screen experience.
The Voice Access app has also received improvements and is now available in more areas of the Windows interface. Microsoft also plans to release updates to the Widget Panel, including full-screen functionality, new weather button options, and support for third-party apps.
The Moment 2 update brings a new search bar to Task Manager to quickly and easily find misbehaving apps at the top of the app, as well as better accent color support and streamlined popup dialogs.
Personalization in Windows 11
The system tray area of the taskbar in Windows 11 has been updated with a more modern design, introducing new animations, rounded corners, and the ability to pin and unpin background apps.
The new version of Windows 11 22H2 also includes new settings options such as easy-to-adjust power recommendations for laptops.
