The cause of the accident that occurred in December 2022 was damage to the nozzle throat. The part was purchased by the Italian company Avio, which produces the Vega-C in Ukraine.
“A working group from ESA and Arianespace has begun implementing the roadmap proposed by the Dec. 21 Accident Investigation Commission to ensure the safe return of Vega-C rockets to flight. Estimated launch time end of 2023”.
Earlier, Relativity Space decided to skip the final engine test and set a launch date for the first flight of its 3D-printed rocket. The transition is due to the fact that the company has recently obtained a launch license.
