Another serious security issue is that privileged users circumvent security policies for personal purposes. 19% of large companies, 18% of small companies and 21% of government agencies face this problem.

More than 50% of companies fear the rise of impersonal and unmanaged administrator accounts and the lack of visibility of all privileged users. According to the participants, this is the most important issue in protecting against unauthorized privileged access threats.

At the same time, we’re mostly talking about privileged remote workers, not office workers. In 80% of cases, it is more difficult to determine whether credentials have been compromised due to the fault of a remote privileged user or an office user, and the resulting consequences.
