Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange, has announced plans to open a regional hub in Georgia.
As main tasks in the country, the company pointed out the attraction of new talents and the introduction of cryptocurrencies in the region. There are currently 25 Binance employees in Georgia. By the end of the year, the team plans to add several dozen more people.
The opening of the center is the result of many months of cooperation with local companies and organizations, Binance notes.
At the beginning of the year, the platform signed a cooperation agreement with the Georgia University of Technology and Business. In March, four more agreements were signed with the Caucasus University, Kutaisi International University, Alte University and the American University of Georgia.
Additionally, Binance has signed a “memorandum of understanding” with the Georgia Agency for Technology and Innovation.
Previously, the exchange also entered into an agreement with the Georgian payment system CityPay.io. Thanks to this, more than 600 offline points in the country accept crypto payments.
