Until now, Google engineers could choose to work with Apple MacBooks. Now they will only be given Chromebooks running the Chrome OS operating system. “It also provides a better opportunity to avoid external compromise for all of our managed devices,” the company said in a document.
It’s also reported that employees will need “or higher” approval from a manager if they need an accessory that costs more than $1,000 and isn’t available in-house.
