The Gucci fashion house has unveiled the first fruits of a collaboration with the Yuga Labs metaverse. The $4 billion company is known for creating the largest Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT project. The collaboration resulted in a collection of virtual and physical KodaPendants.
Yuga Labs has announced the launch of the Otherside: Relics by Gucci limited collection, which includes both physical and digital items. The project will be the first major event in the metaverse from the creators of Bored Ape Yacht Club.
Relic’s first item will be the KodaPendant, which Gucci officially has sent on his Twitter account. KodaPendant is an NFT that allows you to get both a physical decoration and various bonuses in the metaverse of the Other Side. YugaLabs and Gucci will release just 3,333 of these pendants.
As for the pendant, it is 50 centimeters long and features a Koda alien-shaped pendant engraved with “GG”. After purchasing an NFT, the token owner’s metadata will be updated and the decoration will appear on their character in the metaverse.
KodaPendant will go on sale on April 6 at 6:00 pm EST. It will be possible to buy NFTs only for brand tokens of the APE project. The cost of one pendant is 450 APE, or roughly $1,930 in standard coin terms.
