The Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP) held a meeting with representatives of social networks yesterday (11) to discuss the measures to be taken to contain attacks on schools. At the meeting a Twitter’s lawyer even said that a profile using a photo of child killers did not turn a blind eye to crime..

According to the blog of journalist Julia Duailibi, the position of the lawyer caused bewilderment both in the government and in representatives of other social networks.

In addition to arguing that using images of people attacking schools is not an excuse for crime, the Twitter professional said, the use of the photo is not against the terms of use of the network.

According to sources heard by the Duailibii, government officials were also outraged by Elon Musk’s platform’s lack of commitment. and a lack of cooperation with actions trying to stop the dissemination of information that could contribute to new attacks on schools.

Yesterday’s meeting featured photos of the killers, as well as songs praising violence against children and profiles posting hate messages.

Safe School Operation

Last week, MJSP announced Operation Safe School, an indefinite, uninterrupted, round-the-clock campaign.

The action, which aims to carry out preventive and repressive actions against violence in schools, will bring together institutions such as police and police stations against cybercrime.

One of the initiatives already launched is a website where people can submit complaints about threats and attacks on schools. The platform guarantees that the complaints are anonymous and that the information will be investigated confidentially.
