Some Russian users of Xbox game consoles complained about the inability to sign in to their account. Messages began to appear yesterday, May 4, in the Xbox Community gaming community (with an audience of almost 100 thousand subscribers) on VKontakte, TASS attracted attention.
When you try to sign in to your account, the text appears: “You are in a region where this service is not available.” The Xbox community reported that changing the DNS (Domain Name System, Domain Name Systems) can help in this situation.
- In April 2023, Microsoft completely stopped warranty service for Xbox consoles in Russia “due to the current situation.” The company advised to contact the stores where the prefix was purchased. Users who bought the product officially and with manufacturer’s warranty also faced the issue. According to one of them, he bought a device with a guarantee until 2024, but still they refused to accept it in the Microsoft service. The user reported that when filling out an application on the site, he was told that “there are no cheap service options.” To fix the Xbox, the manufacturer suggested “shake the dust off the console” and “reboot the device.”
