In connection with the reliable UAV, the Royal Mail Service of Great Britain (Royal Mail) is evaluating the possibilities of using mail in remote parts of the country. Its immediate plans include the creation of up to fifty air routes for 200 drones already in the jblig.

During four test flights over a year and a half, flights were made to the Isle of Mull (Scotland), to the Isles of Scilly off the coast of Cornwall, and between Kirkwall and North Ronaldsay. The last test flights took place last month.

The function of a flying postman is performed by a twin-engine drone with a wingspan of 10 m. It can be used on autopilots, suitable for flying even in difficult weather conditions. The entire transport mail load is up to 100 kg, the number of daily flights is two. Mail is delivered only to the settlement, then to the addressee – an ordinary postmen.
