Tinkoff Bank registered its own university, Vedomosti refers to the registry of organizations under the code OKVED. The rector of the university is Yevgeny Ivashkevich, a board member of Tinkoff Insurance.
It is assumed that the new STEM university (emphasizing natural sciences, engineering and mathematics) will draw on the experience gained while working with students and schoolchildren as part of the Tinkoff Education project. The launch of the new university is scheduled to be announced in the summer. At the same time, Tinkoff Bank did not apply to Rosobrnadzor for an education license.
Tinkoff University will be the first full-fledged higher education institution of a credit institution – SberUniversity, founded in 2012, provides only additional vocational training programs.
