It’s too early to know what he’ll offer. Samsung the next time you update your smartphone One UI 7. However, at least one well-informed source suggests that the update could be significant. While this isn’t a major leak, we may hear more about this from Ice Universe in the coming days and weeks, or at least we can hope so.
Either way, now is a good time to consider what Samsung might do with One UI 7 when it finally arrives. The update is expected to be built on top of the next operating system. Android 15 from Google, which will likely be released later this year or early 2025.

Samsung has done little to change the One UI in recent years. The only significant change in One UI 6 was the introduction of a quick panel layout in 2023. Samsung is likely aware of the high expectations its users have for One UI 7, including visual improvements and performance enhancements. While not as exciting as a refreshed interface or improved system speed, security enhancements may also be a priority.
Beyond that, anything that makes One UI simpler and more intuitive will be welcome. The new version of One UI should also improve battery life.
Android 15 brings a host of new features for users to enjoy, including easier Bluetooth controls, partial screen sharing, notification recovery time, and more. Improved PDF performance, more reliable NFC, and satellite connectivity are also expected.
Google devices will likely get Android 15 first, though Samsung users could follow soon if the company is already ready to roll out One UI 7. Stay tuned for updates.
