Brands often copy or incorporate into their respective operating systems features that originally debuted on the iPhone. This is what Xiaomi did recently. In particular, the Asian company is improving HyperOS 2.0, function that allows you to find out whether the battery has degraded during use.
This option has been present on Xiaomi phones for some time now. This is somewhat confusing, however, as it doesn’t display as detailed information as it does on the iPhone. In fact, HyperOS currently only offers three battery status options; “excellent”, “good” and “bad”which means that the component is like new, has become unusable during use or, accordingly, the battery needs to be replaced.
Now, as the latest version of HyperOS 2.0 on Poco X7 shows, this feature reflects exact battery charge level in percentageas we see on the iPhone. 100% indicates that the health is in excellent condition, almost like new.
When the level is lower, it will correspond to the percentage of its degradation, this is when it reaches 80% or less when it is recommended to replace the component as this indicates that it will not have the same service life.
How to find out the battery status of your Xiaomi mobile phone
Now, How can we know the battery status of our Xiaomi, Redmi or Poco?
We repeat, the function is enabled using HyperOS 2.0so you will need to update your smartphone to this version to know the battery percentage status. If your mobile phone has already received it, just follow these steps.
To do this, go to Settings from a specific application or through the control center. Then click on the “Battery” option and finally Tap Battery Protection.. Once inside, you will see the Battery Status option.
