Intel released its first gaming graphics card in China a week ago. Meanwhile, reviews from independent reviewers have also emerged showing that the Arc A380 outperforms the Radeon RX 6400.

For example, a video review by Bilibili user Shenmedounengce shows that Intel’s entry-level card performed well in synthetic tests, but fell short on the playground. The A380 is up to 41.6% faster than its AMD counterpart in 3DMark Time Spy, while the RX 6400 performs on average 23% better in sub-games. In PUBG the RX 6400 is about 12% faster, which goes up to 33% in League of Legends.

Game tests of League of Legends, PUBG, GTA V, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Forza Horizon 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2.

Figures from MyDrivers show the same difference in terms of 3DMark, but the difference between the two budget GPUs is smaller when gaming: the RX 6400 is on average 9% faster than the A380 across thirteen titles. Green camp’s GTX 1650 also performs 11% better. The Intel card is about 30% more powerful than the old GTX 1050 Ti.

Also, another Bilibili video shows the Arc A380 underperforming when paired with the Team Red CPU. The test system with the Core i5-12400 scores an average of 8% better than the configuration with the Ryzen 5 5600, while the difference rises to 14 percent and 15 percent in Forza Horizon 5 and Total War: Three Kingdoms, respectively. This is noteworthy because the processor shouldn’t be a bottleneck at this level of performance, even at 1080p.
