Autism and ADHD: Intriguing Differences in Children’s Eyes

Scientists have found intriguing differences in children’s eyes suffer from autism and in those who suffer from ADHD (Attention Deficit Syndrome). Both are widespread neurological disorders that place patients and relatives in conditions of discomfort and difficulty.

Thanks to a test that measures the retina’s response to light called an electroretinogram (ERG), scientists have set the waters in motion. Thanks to this research, it has even been established that ADHD and autism in children, often mistakenly confused, are clearly distinguishable by theeye analysis

Our research aims to improve this aspect. By investigating how signals in the retina respond to light stimuli, we hope to develop more accurate diagnoses for various neurological disorders.
