Some countries in Europe are getting a new streaming service with Paramount+, Variety reports. Media conglomerate Paramount Global’s service will launch on June 22 in the UK and Ireland. Later this year, the streaming service will arrive in Italy, Germany, France, and Austria. It is not yet known whether Paramount+ will come to the Benelux and its future.
The streaming service is originally American and is available there with two subscriptions: Essential and Premium. In the first case, users pay $5 per month for unlimited streaming with an occasional commercial break. In the US, Premium costs $10 per month and is ad-free. Only the more expensive plan is available in the UK.
Paramount+ from parent company Paramount includes the Paramount Pictures movie catalog, all content from CBS and various sports channels. Additionally, several Star Trek series and recent Halo shows are available through the streaming service.
