Rumor: Nvidia is working on GTX 1630 GPU for entry-level segment

According to Videocardz, Nvidia plans to release the GTX 1630 soon. Notable considering it will be Team Green’s first GTX X30 card. The manufacturer is reportedly looking to replace the GTX 1050 Ti with this lower segment sku, which is now over five years old.

That’s why AMD can deliver relatively high performance per dollar with the RX 6400. Compared to the modest RDNA 2 GPU, the 1050 Ti, as the $330 RTX 3050 is the cheapest Ampere desktop model.

According to AMD, the RX 6400 is a dollar and offers much more fps per watt than the GTX 1050 Ti.

Videocardz has yet to arrive at specs, but expects Nvidia to combine the Turing-based TU117 GPU with new gddr6 memory and power consumption of 75W or less. Considering the current retail prices of the GTX 1650, it seems more likely that the suggested retail price of the GTX 1630 is under $190. The exact release date is not clear for now.
