The well-known technology company Asus announced this, surprising video game enthusiasts. A more affordable version of the ROG Ally portable game console.

This new version shares most of the features of its older sister but includes the AMD Ryzen Z1 processor instead of the Z1 Extreme that characterized the original model.

ROG Ally entered the European market in May and dazzled gamers with its custom AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor based on Zen 4 architecture.

This eight-core, 16-thread processor is combined with RDNA 3 graphics, a 120Hz Full HD (1080p) display and an innovative thermal system called Zero Gravity. Second, it uses dual fans with ultra-thin distribution fins and high-friction heat pipes to keep the console cool in any position.

The new version of the console has the following features: AMD Ryzen Z1 processor with six-core, 12-thread Zen 4 architecture and RDNA 3 graphics processing units. It also offers compatibility with WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.

Like its more powerful sibling, the ROG Ally with Z1 has a 7-inch FHD (1080p) touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 500 nits brightness capability. This allows players to enjoy their favorite games even in well-lit and outdoor environments.

A standout feature of this console is its ability to connect to the XG Mobile ecosystem of external GPUs. In addition to providing additional USB-C ports and display outputs, the XG Mobile offers the power of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 laptop GPU, allowing you to run AAA games smoothly.

ROG Ally is designed to run on Microsoft Windows operating system and is fully compatible with major gaming platforms including Steam, EA App, Xbox Game Pass, Epic Games Store, GOG and other game libraries.

Although Asus stated in its press release that this new ROG Ally with the Z1 processor is more affordable than the Z1 Extreme version, it did not specify its price or release date.
