You can now report a WhatsApp Status that violates the app’s policies that require respect and tolerance. After notifying the Meta team, it will review it to decide if a person’s or community’s image has been damaged by the video or image.

The innovation was announced by WABetaInfo, which says there will be a new menu in the Status section that says Report at the top right.

The option is not yet officially available as it is under development and distribution is only being tested.

After updating the beta function of WhatsApp Desktop, it is expected to be available for Android and iOS mobile phones.

Testing of new WhatsApp features is done with a small group to find bugs and get feedback on improvements, this is called beta option.

The idea is that you distribute a “custom” version of your mobile app with experimental features that can only be installed by registered users.
