“Ash emissions are common in Nevado del Ruiz volcano, which has had small eruptions for about 10 years. They sometimes emit light due to the high temperature of particulate material and gases coming out of the volcano,” the organization said. from Twitter.

Videos and photos are circulating on social networks about the activity level of Nevado del Ruiz volcano in orange. Some caught the ash cloud coming out of the crater, and others wondered why a “tear” or “crack” appeared on the top.
Faced with this, SGC said, “A wall corresponding to the boundary of a crystallized lava mass is a feature this volcano has had for years and is unrelated to its current activity.”
