Thanks to Stranger Things 4 the piece of music by Kate Bush titled Running up that hill has re-emerged into the limelight, establishing itself at the top of the UK music charts and setting three records.

In the UK, the singer is the oldest person to have reached the top spot in the standings, and is the artist to have again topped the charts with the biggest gap in years ever, a whopping 44. Furthermore, it is the song music that reached the number one position 37 years after its release, a very long span of time and to this day has never happened.

In the United States, the song is in fourth place in the top 100 singles and on Spotify it hit the number one chart. In Italy, Running Up That Hill reached position 23 last week. The inclusion of Kate Bush’s song in a current scene of the first part of Stranger Things 4 had an incredible impact on the song’s renewed success.

Kate Bush herself published a statement thanking the Duffer brothers for including the song at a key moment in the TV series, making it something of a talisman for Max and the guys’ lead characters.

Recall that Stranger Things 4 with its first volume will be available on Netflix from May 27.
