Tension, comedy and a pinch of romance are the ingredients of The perfect dinnera film between the Camorra and the kitchen that will appear on TV on Thursday 23 June at 9.15 pm on Sky Cinema Uno and Sky Cinema 4K, streamed NOW and available on demand, also in 4K quality.
Salvatore Esposito (Gomorrah – The Series) and Greta Scarano (I hoped De died first) play the role of an unlikely couple, a good-hearted Camorrista and a chef full of ambition, who discover a unique opportunity for redemption in catering.
The film, directed by Davide Minnella, is a food film with a crime background and comedic hues, that doesn’t give up on romance. In the cast, in addition to the protagonists Salvatore Esposito and Greta Scarano, also Gianluca Fru, Gianfranco Gallo, Antonella Attili and Antonio Grosso. The film also shows the participation, as a coach, of star chef Cristina Bowerman.
The Perfect Dinner is produced by Fulvio and Federica Lucisano for Italian International Film and Vision Distribution, in association with Sky and in association with Prime Video. It was written by Stefano Sardo with Giordana Mari and Gianluca Bernardini, with the collaboration of Salvatore Esposito himself.
Synopsis of the movie:
Carmine (Salvatore Esposito) grew up in Naples in the shadow of the Camorra boss known as “Scimitar”. Not having what it took to lead a criminal life on the front lines, Scimitar sent him to Rome to entrust him with the management of a restaurant destined for money laundering. Unexpectedly, Carmine became passionate about catering, especially thanks to the arrival of Consuelo (Greta Scarano), a young chef of Argentine origin with a difficult character but great ambitions. The love of food and the dream of winning a Michelin star will give them both a second chance, but how will Carmine escape control of Scimitar?
