Since its premiere in 2019 Boys was a fresh and, above all, malicious reimagining of the world of superheroes. The story, which explores a world in which men and women with extraordinary abilities are the product, becomes increasingly confusing. But first of all, it’s much more complicated than what Marvel or DC have said so far. What makes the premise surrounding The Butcher (Karl Urban) and his confrontation with the corporation Vought International and especially against the Patriot (Anthony Starr), things get more difficult.
It’s clear that the production has taken on its own personality, despite being taken from a popular comic book. But while the first installment was an introduction to the characters as well as a faithful adaptation of Garth Ennis’s original, the next two went as usual. This includes all sorts of new stories, unexpected turns of events and even unexpected alliances that made Boys in one of the best series in the Prime Video catalogue.
If you’re eager to enjoy season four but don’t remember much of what happened, we’ll leave you with a rundown of everything you need to keep in mind to enjoy the story. From the final confrontation between sworn enemies that became the center of the action, to the appearance of a certain famous figure in the comics. The truth is that the third season was a rapid development of the series in its main points. Which leaves the door open for more extravagant, cruel and, undoubtedly, well told what the story was like.

Homelander begins to show his true colors

By the beginning of the third season, Patriot (Homelander) is quickly collapsing mentally and physically. The reasons are varied—there never seems to be a shortage of them—but alsoIn fact, there are three that shocked him and affected his precarious stability.
First, his enemies are more popular than himself, following the disaster surrounding Stormfront/Clara Reisinger (Aya Cash). On the other hand, Starlight (Erin Moriarty) has the same power and influence as himself. And finally, Butcher has hidden Ryan (Cameron Crovetti), his biological son, and refuses to reveal his whereabouts.

In the midst of all this, the character who has hitherto been hiding his most psychotic side without much success now shows it without any concealment. What’s even worse. He knows that the only way to stand and, especially, maintaining your dominant position essentially means becoming more violent and unstoppable.
New discoveries around compound V

In the midst of this whole situation, Maeve (Dominique McElligott) decides to take matters into her own hands before the Patriot becomes unstoppable. So he goes to the Butcher and explains—to him and the audience—in more detail the properties of Compound V, which also includes his temporary variant Temp V. This substance can give anyone strength for up to 24 hours.
What Butcher ends up doing is he gains the ability to shoot lasers through his eyes as well as super strength just like Patriot. Hughie (Jack Quaid), in the midst of his confusion and difficult relationship with Starlight, also does the same and is able to teleport. At first glance, the features seem just as powerful as the Gen V, but there’s one problem.
The composition causes side effects. Butcher doesn’t seem to be feeling well at all, with a range of unexplained symptoms, including green vomit and a dark substance oozing from his ears. The entire medical situation worsens until Starlight makes a disturbing discovery. More than three doses of Temp V is a poison that can kill and cause pain. Of course, this whole difficult situation causes confrontations between a group of renegades and MM (Laz Alonso), take on a clear advantage over the Butcher, and this will certainly be developed in the fourth season.
Difficult situation with Victoria Neumann

As you may remember, season three began with Hughie trying to change. peace from the office of Congresswoman Victoria Neumann (Claudia Doumit).
Only to discover that it was super with the extravagant ability to explode – in the strictest sense of the word – the head of anyone at will. As if that weren’t enough, he also found evidence of the existence Red River Institute, a shelter for children with superpowers.
This forces him to connect the dots and make one of the biggest discoveries of the season. This Victoria, née Nadia, is the adopted daughter of the evil Stan Edgar (Giancarlo Esposito). Something that makes it part of the businessman’s long-term political strategy.
The villain of the season and his mysterious fate

Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles), Garth Ennis’ version of Captain America, is one of the centerpieces of season three. But especially his capture and disappearance, which occurred at the height of the CIA mission in Nicaragua in the middle of the Cold War decade. This circumstance was proposed as insignificant. or more so in the previous two, but this time the story ends in this season.
Thanks to Butcher and his pressure on Grace Mallory (Laila Robins), she finally revealed in detail what happened. This implies details of Operation Charlie, in which the boy soldier had to fight against the Sandinistas, or at least demonstrate the power of North America. In the darkest dimension the whole situation was hidden drug and arms trafficking in the midst of the country’s internal conflict.
In the midst of all of the above and the manipulations of young Stan Edgar, already a member of Vought at the time, Soldier Boy was trapped and sent to Russia. Once there, he is called “BCL Red” as a codename and becomes the supposed only option to end the special power’s superpowers. Including, of course, El Patriota.
The Death of Black Noir and the Secrets He Keeps

Through flashbacks to what happened in Nicaragua, a through-line story is told. Everything that happened to Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell) when he was still young and before his head injury. In fact, a series of memories makes something clear: the later silent hero was treated poorly by Soldier Boy most of the time.
The most curious thing is that this character, whose face is never seen and whose story is told in cartoons, will become central to the understanding of the Patriot himself and the boy soldier. Moreover, he witnessed everything that happened with the second – and how it affects the first – as a privileged witness.
Patriot and his background

And even as The Boys’ most twisted character becomes – even – even more deranged, a revelation comes that no one expected, but which no doubt explains something about him. Soldier Boy is his biological father. which would explain his enormous innate abilities and the fact that he can inherit them virtually unchanged.
Does this seem like a melodramatic twist? Well, it’s not that much. Soldier Boy knows that El Patriota must be stopped, or at least stopped. There are no major barriers to devoting time and effort to planning your mind.
Herogasm had arrived… and it wasn’t as twisted as one might expect.

In The Boys, the annual super-orgy that Wough organizes for his people is one of the wildest moments in history, an open door to all sorts of excesses. In the third season Boys It reached the game version, but without much depth and much more, as well as the context of other events.
Overall, there’s some amazing nudity here – and not because of how overtly sexual it is – and some scenes worth remembering. Including orgasm, analyzed from the least common point of view.
Patriot finds Ryan

What could be the worst moment for the next season of The Boys caps off the previous one. The Patriot eventually finds his son, who in turn He wants to get as far away from the Butcher as possible.
As such, he not only accepts his father, but seems quite open to the possibility of training alongside him. What might have led them to become the strongest duet super. Or, worse, in an up-and-coming villain couple.
Billy Butcher is sick and very close to death

After disobeying advice regarding the consumption of Temp V, Butcher was given less than 18 months to live. Which, without a doubt, will give youthere’s a particularly complex sense of urgency about everything that happens in The Boys season four with the character.
