It is now common to launch backstage movies and TV series on social media, but the one published today for Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Star Wars series just completed on Disney+, is special because it allows us to live the life of a very special extra, Krystina Arielle, host of Star Wars: The High Republic Show. From the makeup and wigs to the costumes, the rehearsals and meeting Ewan McGregor, the behind the scenes are very interesting.
The story of the new series, now available on Disney+, begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sithin which Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat, the fall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who went to the dark side by becoming the evil Sith Lord, Darth Vader.
The series stars Ewan McGregor, who will reprise his role as the iconic Jedi Master, and also marks the return of Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader. The cast will also be joined by Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.
