Brazil’s 4-1 win over South Korea was not the only reason for celebration for Casimiro Miguel and his team. The creator broke his own record in his livestream from the World Cup Round of 16 match, reaching 5.2 million connected devices.

This number represents the highest viewership for the CazéTV channel since the start of the World Cup — Casimiro received permission from FIFA to stream the games on YouTube and Twitch. The match between Brazil and Switzerland reached nearly 4.9 million viewers, while yesterday’s live broadcast (5) crossed the 5 million connected device barrier.

It is worth noting that the figure only includes simultaneous broadcasts on YouTube. In addition to the Google platform, Casimiro shows World Cup matches on Twitch and eventually on FIFA+, the competition’s official broadcast.

Looking for the biggest live recording?

Reaching the audience in the match between Brazil and South Korea, Casimiro continues to live one of the greatest lives of all time on YouTube. According to figures from the PlayBoard platform, the Brazilian broadcaster has the largest livestream on the platform since 2020, surpassing the lives of Apple and SpaceX, for example.

But Casimiro still couldn’t get past Felix Baumgartner’s jump, which was streamed live on YouTube in partnership with Red Bull in 2012. The online event managed to gather around 8 million connected devices.

Over the next few weeks, Casimiro will be broadcasting more World Cup matches, including Brazil’s upcoming matches. First place (and hexa) coming?!
