For the second week in a row, the Korean remake of La Casa de Papel continues to take the world by storm, and to this day it has been ranked number one on Netflix for a non-English-language series since its June 24 debut.
This is good news for a remake of a recent series like La Casa de Papel. which usually do not give good results, for burning an idea in such a short time.
But thankfully, this remake seems to have been approached differently, and is enjoyed by all Netflix users, who no doubt prefer to watch the show in this style, while Netflix is breaking records with its fourth season of Stranger Things.

in his first week received no more and no less than 33.7 million hours watchedvery encouraging figures that predicted exponential growth as a result of good reviews, which would have attracted the attention of Netflix users.
And so it has been, since this week has been increased to 49 million hours of playbackand is expected to continue rising in the coming weeks.
For those who haven’t seen the original version filmed in Spanish, La Casa de Papel. tells the story of a mysterious man known as “The Professor” who spent his entire life planning the biggest heist in history.: enter the Factory of National Currencies and Stamps and print 2.4 billion euros.
To implement this ambitious plan, the Professor recruits a team of eight people with certain abilities and who have nothing to lose. They, along with the professor, plan every step of the heist for five months. This team, named after different cities around the world, needs 11 days of seclusion in the Factory, during which they have to deal with the elite police force and 67 hostages.
The Korean version works the same way as the Spanish version, where the names of the characters are also respected, yes, giving them a different meaning. To do this, they successfully used fictional local conflicts that have some roots in Korean culture..
That’s why it doesn’t feel like a simple copy, as they managed to set the scene in a very realistic way along with a cast of famous actors and actresses, and it captivates with those Asian features that are captured in the story itself.
