If we went back to the 90s, we would find some really great series. We’ll say great. Friends, Seinfeld, Prince of Bel Air, Emergency Room, West Wing of the White House… As you can see, on the other side of the lake, all kinds and very high quality series were made.

But in 1999, the last year of the last century, when a series that would change everything went on air: The Sopranos.. Since then, serials began to gain weight and importance for producers and television channels. And because entertainment giants have their own platforms like Disney+, HBO Max or Netflix, they’re not afraid to invest large sums of money to do great things.

Adapted from Peter Morgan’s successful play The Audience, the film is the current Queen of England II. It tells the story of Elizabeth and the relationship between the two most famous addresses in the world, Buckingham Palace and 10 Downing Street, with intrigue. The love affairs and intrigues behind the events that shaped the second half of the 20th century.

This series already has four seasons and is gearing up for a fifth season, which will arrive in 2022.so this year. If you like British history or monarchies this is your series without a doubt.

One of the great productions Netflix has left in its catalog and it depends from season to season, despite the big changes in direction and cast (the imperatives of the script, if you see it).

These recent seasons have increased the budget of the series to 13 million euros per episode, something that makes sense. when you see the tremendous quality of clothes, jewellery, sets and spaces. Serializing is expensive but worth it.

Meanwhile, various factions conspire with one goal: to seize the throne. Presenting Game of Thrones isn’t nearly as useless as explaining who Santa is.

This series was the biggest winner of the last decade. So much so that HBO has managed to experience some of the most significant growth of its generation. Since then, HBO Max has been the platform for millions of loyalists to the Seven Kingdoms.

As for the budget, it’s a real beast: 15 million euro episodes in their last season. It’s HBO’s biggest spend to date, but it’s also its most valuable.

Mandalorian

Set after the fall of the Empire and before the rise of the First Order, the series follows in the footsteps of Mando, a lone gunslinger working on the fringes of the galaxy, a bounty hunter belonging to the legendary tribe of the Mandalorians. The authority of the New Republic is not enough.

Pedro Pascal surprised the world with this series, the revival of Star Wars speaks with the whole world candidly. JAt Favreau, Grogu and Mando can be proud to endorse and bring The Mandalorian to life as he resurrects the franchise on his shoulders. (little man, or rather, by force of power).

At Disney they were open Their dedication to The Mandalorian, so despite wearing helmets all day, they didn’t hesitate to hire a top-notch actor.. They could literally put anyone to play Din Djarin, but they decided to hire one of the best.

That payout translates to $15 million per episode, the same money HBO spent on Game of Thrones.but for a few bucks, Disney’s business goes straight into HBO Max’s business.

Pacific

The successor to Blood Brothers, also produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, and created by Dreamworks and HBO. It was the most expensive drama of all time. Now it only ranks fourth on the list.

First of all, two American soldiers, Eugene Sledge’s “With the Old Breed” and Robert Leckie’s “Helmet for My Pillow” 2.

If you like war series, this episode about the battles in the Pacific region during World War II is a treat. But honestly, Blood Brothers is much better with a more interesting and better told story. Of course, it was also cheaper to shoot.

Dreamworks and HBO spent 20 million euros per episode for this series based on true events., it was a record at that time. Of course HBO Max has it.

miracle series

We’re not making a distinction here, as Disney wants to provide the same budget (or nearly the same) to serial-format productions of the Marvel universe. Namely: WandaVision, Loki, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, etc.

As you know, Disney’s idea is to expand the Marvel product into the series to have powerful content on the Disney+ platform.and because the posts are weekly (especially every Wednesday), the company manages to keep subscribers for months on end.

Like this, Disney merges the Marvel franchise with the Star Wars franchise throughout the year, premieres every week and never competes with each other.. The first one pops up, and when it’s done, the other one opens. So there is no way to unsubscribe from Disney+.

Disney’s budget for all these series is 25 million euros per episode. It makes sense here, because while the CGI and post production aren’t the best in the world, these actors have a very high cache.
