Released in theaters today, distributed by 102 Distribution on THE SPACE circuit, Come as you Are, directed by Richard Wong, one of the most acclaimed comedies of American audiences, remake of the award-winning Belgian film ‘Hasta la vista’. On this occasion we present the trailer, the poster and the photos.
Starring Grant Rosenmeyer, Gabourey Sidibe, Ravi Patel and Hayden Szeto, the film is a story of freedom, complicity and friendship. A film that tackles a very topical social issue in a brilliant, funny and humorous way: the difficulties faced by people with disabilities in experiencing their sexuality. Based on the true story of Asta Philpot, who suffers from severe motor disabilities and is confined to a wheelchair, the film tells the journey of three friends inspired by desire. The friendship between the protagonists will lead the desire for freedom from the constraints of society and of the body to the realization of a dream: the loss of virginity. The story follows the adventure of three young people with disabilities who love the good life, clubs and beautiful women, but are still virgins. So they decide to escape from their overprotective families to reach a place of pleasure that specializes in people with disabilities. One of them is blind, one is confined to a wheelchair, as is the last one, also a spinal cord injury. But between a thousand ups and downs, and also thanks to the precious help of a special driver who accompanies them, they will succeed in a great undertaking.
For the launch campaign, 102 Distribution, with the participation of some associations that support the rights of people with disabilities, created the hashtag #VieniComeSei: stories, stories and requests from all those people who are forced to live their own sexuality among a thousand ups and downs and difficulties. Important associations have already joined the campaign, such as the Luca Coscioni Association, RomAltruista with La Lamp dei Desideri, LoveGiver with Maximiliano Ulivieri and public figures such as the “model without barriers” Marianna Condito, the actor Fabiano Lioi and the TikToker Frans Rossi.
