Chris Pratt has finally broken his silence on what will happen to his character after the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3. And he did it to leave some troubling questions up in the air. The film that the premiere will take place on May 5, 2023, this will be the end of the superhero team tour. At least the way director James Gunn imagined it. And it keeps the fans on their toes.

Rumors of a possible death – or more than one – in the story have been troubling fans of the saga for some time now. As if that wasn’t enough, the cast at Comic-Con 2022 talked about grief and loss as the film’s central themes. Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3. And it raised concerns about the possibility of what could happen in the production that is part of Marvel’s Phase 5.

Pratt, reprising his role as Peter Quill, stepped forward to explain what would happen to his character. Especially in the midst of debate and fears for their immediate future. After all, The end of the Gunn trilogy will be a confluence of a number of idiosyncratic situations.. This will be Star-Lord’s first appearance since the superhero team’s cameo aboard the Milano in Thor: Love and Thunder. In addition, for the sixth time, the actor plays a space bandit, who became one of the symbolic figures of Marvel’s Phase 3.

During an interview with Additional TV, which took place after the Marvel Studios Historic Panel in Hall H at Comic-Con 2022, the actor discussed the future of Peter Quill. Pratt commented that he wished his character could return in one form or another thanks to the multiverse. But he quickly made it clear that this did not mean that Star-Lord would die during Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3. Nonetheless, Pratt’s revelation leaves some questions on the air about what could happen to the leader of the intergalactic group. Particularly because he was somewhat vague about the specific theme of his character’s fate in the story.

“At the moment there are no such plans. [para una posible continuidad]. I believe that everything is possible. There is a multiverse. I’m not saying that it is, but if a character dies… It actually turns out that there are wormholes to bring people back.” This is a peculiar and somewhat disturbing point of view. Particularly because it aligns with what James Gunn said about the death of “one or two characters” in the film.

Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3end of a long road

On a more mundane level, there’s also no word on the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe cast. At the moment, there is no news about the contracts of most of the actors involved in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3. And neither if they could be part of larger projects that do not include their original team. Or, at any rate, his intention to do so. A few months ago, Dave Bautista made it clear on his social media and dedicated an emotional farewell Drax, its symbolic nature. Which suggests that it is unlikely that the actor will again play the favorite of many fans of the ferocious warrior.

One of the features guardians of the galaxy is that his team participates as one in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So much so that the very possibility that they could be integrated into others after the disappearance of the original is considered unlikely. So the death of one or two of his characters could mean the end of the story.. Or at least a complete change of direction from how he’s been digging into his characters so far.

Closing of the trilogy. guardians of the galaxy survived all sorts of problems, including the dismissal of the director. Also inevitable delays due to the mandatory cessation of the pandemic. However, James Gunn insists that he envisioned the entire story before filming began. Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3.

This shows that this is a structured project, with its own weight and dynamics. As if that wasn’t enough conspicuous is the lack of reference to their characters in phases 5 and 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe..

Despite the unfortunate possibility, the actors seem happy with the outcome. During their emotional engagement at the Comic-Con panel, the cast said they were “committed” to James Gunn’s vision. And that includes an unusual ending to the story he helped create.
