Disney+ has announced its first British original series, the romantic action comedy wedding seasondebuts exclusively on the streaming platform on Thursday, September 8, in celebration of Disney + Day. The announcement was accompanied by the release of some preview images of the new series, which will debut worldwide on Disney+, on Star+ in Latin America, and on Hulu in the United States.
The captivating series tells the story of Katie and Stefan who fall in love during a wedding and begin a relationship, despite Katie already having a boyfriend. Two months later, at Katie’s wedding, her new husband and his entire family are murdered. The police think it was Stefan. Stefan thinks it was Katie. And no one knows for sure what the truth is…
The series is an action-packed journey across the UK and US as Katie and Stefan run away in an attempt to prove their innocence.
Starring Rosa Salazar and Gavin Drea, with Jade Harrison, Jamie Michie, Callie Cooke, Bhav Joshi, Ioanna Kimbrook and Omar Baroud.
The series is written by up-and-coming screenwriting talent Oliver Lyttelton (Cheaters) and directed by George Kane (Crashing).
