According to Rotten tomatoes the TV series Paper Girls is “fresh”, meaning the Prime Video it is recommended to the public of enthusiasts. The certificate comes from the critical approval rate of 87% and 76% of the public.

The review aggregator’s overall verdict reported:

Mixing the issue of time travel with a strong group of young characters assembled in a kind of dimensional origami, Paper Girls can be defined as something explosive for the future.

TV Guide’s Keith Phipps went on to analyze the individual judgments, stating that “The momentary twists can grab attention, as can the fact that the characters show they have a heart. But it’s the union of the two that makes Paper Girl something. that you can characterize”.

Caroline Framke of Variety noted that “what at first looks like yet another product at Amblin turns out to be a bittersweet combination with genuine science fiction.” Kevin Carr of Fat Guys at the Movies spoke of “an intriguing 80s Amblin-style adventure, seen from a female perspective.”

And Tara Bennett of IGN Movies added:

The cast members are the added value of this TV series, as are the crazy circumstances that allow them to define who they really are and what they want to be. The issue of time travel is also fascinating.

For what serialization offers, Stranger Things already exists, and Paper Girls cannot be distinguished enough to prove any worth.
