Surprisingly Warner Bros. canceled batgirlthe film DC Comics which will not be released on the HBO Max platform or in theaters at this time. It all seems to have to do with the feature being released on HBO Max, but the new management of Warner Bros. Discovery has decided to change its mind.

It appears that the decision came not from the idea of canceling Batgirl for its quality, but from the desire of Warner Bros. Discovery to create full-length DC Comics movies exclusively for the big screen.

All of this was accomplished after Batgirl’s shooting had already been completed and post-production on the feature was already underway. A budget of $90 million was set aside for the film.

Batgirl directed Bad Boys for Life filmmakers Bilall Fallah and Adil El Arbi, with a screenplay written by Christina Hodson, who previously worked on Birds of Prey and the upcoming film The Flash. The feature film featured JK Simmons returning as Commissioner James Gordon, Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Brendan Fraser as the villain Firefly and Jacob Scipio in an unnamed role, while the main character was Leslie Grace.
