Variety recently interviewed Jason Blumthe popular horror producer who is also behind the Paranormal Activity. And during the conversation there was news Paranormal Activity 8which will be released in 2023, according to Variety.
The feature film is titled Paranormal Activity: The Other Side. The original plan was for an implementation in 2022, but things seem to have changed. Oren Peli is working on the new film, directed by Wincent Sommers. Among the protagonists are Sonja Gerhardt, Chethrin Schulze, Nika Sofie, Tamara Hitz, Chany Dakota, Leon Pelz.
the new Paranormal Activity will be “a return to Katie Featherston’s story with Tob”. The Other Side is about four young friends who want to discover Katie and Krist’s past before they go to college. In this way they discover what happened in their house before and what the connection is with the incidents of 1988. The film, set in the 1990s, also tells about the fire that was only mentioned in the previous chapters.
The franchise debuted in 2007 and achieved great success with the public. It cost only $15,000 and brought in nearly $200 million. Over the years, four films have been released starring the story of Katie’s family and the spin-offs Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones and Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension.
