This new film retains the concept of the Multiverse and the meeting between different Spideys: as different as Peter Parker, Miles Morales and Miguel O’Hara may be, let’s be clear, but given the number of characters present, we wouldn’t be surprised if they were serious “Variants” in the style of Marvel Cinematic Universe… if not, who knows. In fact, while in the first movie the “other” Spidey arrived in Miles’ world, here Miles and the others will travel through six alternate Earths, presenting a total of 240 characters, which even many consider likely and simple cameos are yet to come. always a lot.
The vocal cast once again features Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy, Oscar Isaac as Miguel O’Hara and Issa Rae as Jessica Drew. The school counselor will be voiced by Rachel Dratch, while Miles’ parents will be Luna Lauren Velez and Brian Tyree Henry. Jason Schwartzman becomes the villain, Spot.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is set to be released in June next year, while the trilogy finale, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, is set to hit theaters on March 29, 2024.
