During TUDUM the release date of The crown 5, the fifth season of the Netflix series, which has seen a remarkable surge in attention in the wake of Queen Elizabeth II’s death. The Crown 5 will be released on Netflix on November 9.

Season 5 of The Crown sees Imelda Staunton (“Harry Potter”) taking over from Olivia Colman as the Queen, while Jonathan Pryce (“The Two Popes”) will be the Prince Consort Philip. Dominic West (“The Affair”) plays Carlo, Elizabeth Debicki (“Tenet”) plays Princess Diana, Lesley Manville (“Maleficent: Mistress of Evil”) plays Margaret, and Jonny Lee Miller (“Elementary”) plays Premier John Major.

After the death of the Queen, filming for the sixth season of The Crown was halted. In this regard, here are the words of Peter Morgan, producer and creator of the project:

Out of respect we stop filming. The Crown is a love letter to Elizabeth II, and for now I don’t want to add anything else to it except silence and respect. I expect the filming to be stopped.
