Anime Factory is showing us all the voices of little by little One piece film: RED through official videos where the voice actors invite fans to the various previews of the new movie based on Eiichiro Oda’s manga. The video of Paolo Sesana arrives today, the new voice of Shanks il Rosso, who plays a central role in this new film.
The film, directed by Goro Taniguchi and produced by TOEI Animation, based on the record-breaking manga by Eiichiro Oda, will hit all theaters on December 1.
In Japan, the film is by all accounts the franchise’s highest-grossing ever: it has passed the 17 billion yen (more than 115 million euros) milestone, recording the best anime collection of 2022 and the second best debut in the history of Japanese cinema, became the sixth best anime and entered the top ten best films of all time. The movie also performed well at the box office in France, with over a million moviegoers flocking to enjoy the new One Piece movie on the big screen.
Awaited by the most enthusiastic fans and beyond, One Piece Film: RED is the first episode with a strong musical component (with the evocative interpretation of Japanese star Ado) and also sees the return of one of the most iconic and interesting characters created by Oda: Shanks the Red, one of the Four Emperors who inspired and pushed Luffy to become a pirate as a child, as well as the father of the new character Uta.
In this third trailer, the focus is on Shanks the Red in his relationship with Uta, revealing some moments from the film that have not yet been published for fans.
This trailer was released in Japan to celebrate its huge box office success and the records it broke within days of its theatrical debut.
