This included everything from his harrowing past to his inevitable choice to become the avatar of the mysterious god Khonshu. But the conclusion – for now – of Mark Spector’s story came with a surprise that surprised and thrilled fans of the original comic. In both Chapters 2 and 6, the plot hinted that a disturbing secret lurked in the midst of Mark’s violent rage, but only at the end of the season, when at last the well-known third side of the character manifested itself in all its sinister power.

This is a well thought out plot trap that allowed us to better understand how Mark Spector’s mind works. Also the way in which Honshu explores his mental breakdown manipulate the character and use his abilities for the benefit of his goals. Whether or not the Egyptian god is actually the embodiment of Mark’s mental picture is never entirely clear in the comics, and indeed, this is one of the biggest mysteries of the long and traditional Marvel saga.
The series decided to take it a step further and tell the story from a direct point of view. And the post-credits scene moon knight ends with the revelation that Honshu has not only always been real. It has a definite, conscious and slightly distorted purpose in relation to Mark and the context that surrounds him.

In the sixth episode, Moon Knight answered all the answers from the previous chapters. And for the first time, it had a post-credits scene. In it, you can see Harrow (Ethan Hawke) imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital after the events of the chapter. Interestingly, this place has the same appearance as the visions of Mark during his short period between life and death. Only this time it’s real. The character is dressed in a hospital gown and appears to be under the influence of some kind of sedative.
At one point, a pair of black-gloved hands push the wheelchair in which he is sitting. As the character is being carried down the hallway, a body can be seen lying on the floor in a pool of blood. The scene then cuts to the street where Harrow is led into a white limousine waiting outside the hospital.
Inside, the character is surprised to find that Honshu sits comfortably in the seat and is the size of a human. It is then that the god reveals his entire convoluted plan, which he has apparently been carrying out for most of his life. moon knight. “Mark always thought he loved Layla as an avatar., but I don’t really need it,” he says slowly, to Harrow’s growing fear. “Mark really has no idea how upset he is and I don’t need anyone else.”
The god then touches the glass separating the cab of the limousine from the driver’s seat. And that’s when you can see the new identity of Mark Spector. “This is Jake Lockley,” Honshu introduces. The person who turns away and is actually someone completely different from Mark and Steven. With a sinister expression on his face, he raises a weapon with a silencer and ends up shooting at Harrow several times. Just like Honshu wanted during the chapter.

In the comics, Lockley is the most violent and uncontrollable person of all who inhabit the mind of Mark Spector in moon knight. He moves in the underworld of New York and is almost always in charge of conducting detective investigations. But in the series Jake only appeared in moments of extreme violence. In fact, on two occasions where it was clear that Mark had a third unknown aspect, there were violent deaths and murders.
Still without confirmation of a second season for the Disney+ Marvel series, Jake’s arrival is good news for the story. Moon Knight. This is a new exploration of the complex world of Mark Spector and his abilities. A plot thread that may be of particular interest in the series’ second season.
