Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness showed several cameos. Before the premiere, it was one of the most commented topics due to various rumors. From the (discarded) opportunity to see the option Hombre de Hierro to the presence of the X-Men inside Marvel Cinematic Universe. Some of these questions are already clear, while others, due to the tone of the film, have yet to be resolved.

This text currently contains spoilers.. Therefore, it is recommended to stop reading if you have not seen the movie.

The richest scene in terms of cameos occurs when Doctor Strange is introduced to the Illuminati, as he is considered the biggest threat to the multiverse because his variants usually take his personal quests to their final consequences.

Stephen Strange appears before a jury that will evaluate various questions until a threat appears Scarlet Witchinterpreted Elizabeth Olsenand breaks all the security barriers provided Illuminati. So, it is they who take part in the conflict in order to try to stop it. These are not the only characters introduced who may later get a key role. We see it.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
and Illuminati

movie has introduced the following characters and it could be their influence on the Marvel Cinematic Universe. If you want to know more details about the movie, we recommend this exclusive content about Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Captain Carter

This character was introduced through What happens if…?animated series, which premiered in 2021. Hayley Atwell, after ending part of her story with a Captain America story, returned to the Marvel Cinematic Universe playing this new character in live action. It is not clear if his presence in this film means he appears in a different context; much less when you consider how the character ended up being killed by the Scarlet Witch.

black Thunder

This was one of the main surprises, especially since this character did not receive a continuation in television adaptations after in people was cancelled. However, Anson Mount, who played the character in that series, did so again in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It was a different character who died, in which case the discussion reopens: will Inhumans appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a different context?

Reed Richards

The presence of the Fantastic Four has also been one of the most persistent rumors associated with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Reed Richards is considered the smartest person in the universe; one that, moreover, can shape its body at will. A Fantastic Four movie is expected to be made in a year or two, and judging by how similar the options between universes are, Reed Richards will play the character again.

Charles Xavier

One of the most anticipated cameos because of the rumors and because the trailers for the movie said a lot about his presence. After playing the character in Logan (2017) Patrick Stewart reprized the role of the character. As with the Fantastic Four, more X-Men news is expected in the next Marvel Cinematic Universe films.

Captain Marvel

This character was introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe through Carol Danvers, played by Brie Larson, but Maria Rambeau, played by Lashana Lynch. In the universe that the Illuminati belongs to, it is Maria Rambeau who is energized and becomes a character. His death makes it difficult for him to reappear in other contexts, unless there is a similar option in another reality.

Beyond the Illuminati:
Clea, Doctor Strange’s mate

This character appears for a few seconds in the film’s post-credits scene. She is played by Charlize Theron, an actress who introduced herself as this character on her Twitter profile. Who is Clea? This character was conceived and designed by Stan Lee and Steve Dicto in the 60s. She is the Supreme Sorceress of the Dark Dimension, from whom one of the old villains associated with Doctor Strange is descended: Dormammu.

Seeing from what has been seen, Doctor Strange’s story will tie in a lot with this latest character, Clea, and perhaps cross paths with this villain again, exploring a bit more of the dark arts. Since the possibilities are nearly limitless in the multiverse, and this type of film is about comic book adaptations rather than exact recreations, it remains to be seen how the Marvel Cinematic Universe will evolve in the next films.

Special attention to the actor Bruce Campbellwho plays a pizza salesman. This is his first appearance on the screen after nine years of absence from it.
