It has not been announced which roles Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren will play in the project. MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios and Bosque Ranch Productions are working on the Yellowstone 1932 spin-off. The project will debut on the streaming platform Paramount+ in December.
1932 introduces a new generation Dutton, which predates that of the original series. Central to the story are the early decades of the twentieth century, a period in the United States marked by such problems as drought, economic depression, and prohibition.
Tanya Giles of Paramount Streaming described the TV series as follows:
