Just over a week ago, the first details about the Lenovo Legion Go, an ambitious laptop set to take on the Steam Deck and Asus ROG Ally, surfaced. However, now most of its functions have become known. If the information turns out to be true, we will be faced with a monstrous proposal that will steal the attention of the entire sector.
According to WindowsReportLenovo Legion Go will be integrated with the processor AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme. That is, the same as ROG Ally, which is now on the market. Of course, it seems that the Asian manufacturer could offer a more modest version – Ryzen Z1. Recall that Asus will follow this path with its laptop in the coming months.
The AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme is an APU based on the Zen4 and RDNA 3 architectures. It boasts a processor with 8 cores, 16 threads and a clock speed of up to 5.1GHz. The GPU, in turn, has 12 cores and provides average performance. graphics performance 8.6 teflops. It has already demonstrated its excellent performance in ROG Ally, so we expect nothing less from Lenovo Legion Go.
Continuing the internal components, 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM, 7500 MHz. Storage, in turn, will PCIe 4.0 power 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB depending on the chosen model.
The manufacturer is well aware that in order to take advantage of these characteristics, it is necessary to use a high-end panel. Lenovo Legion Go will have 8.8 inch screen with a resolution QHD+ (2560 x 1600 pixels) and update frequency 144 Hz. If this is true, then in this section it would significantly outperform its competitors.
Of course, to accommodate such a huge screen, Lenovo Legion Go is more than Steam Deck and ROG Ally. Measure 299 mm. length x 131 mm. height x 41 mm. thick. The battery will be 49.2 Wh, although there is no specific information about its autonomy yet.
In terms of connectivity, it has a 3.5mm jack audio port, a USB-C input (for recharging and connecting to external displays), and microSD card reader expand storage. It also has Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6E support.
Obviously, with such promising features, low cost cannot be expected. Lenovo Legion Go will cost $799 in North America and €799 in the European market.. Be careful, ROG Ally costs exactly the same, so the battle between them will be interesting.
Lenovo Legion Go bets on augmented reality

If you want to diversify your Lenovo Legion Go experience and make it even more personal, you can do it with augmented reality glasses. Accessory, of course, will be sold separately.
The Lenovo Legion AR glasses connect to the laptop via a USB-C port. They have Micro LED screen with 1080p resolution per eye and up to 60Hz refresh rate.. The sound part does not lag behind, as it boasts a high-quality speaker system.
An interesting point: they are not exclusive to Lenovo Legion Go, since they can be used with any computer. Its price will be 499 USD/EUR.
