Evidently Cyberpunk 2077 will have an expansion This was indirectly confirmed Adam Kicinskicthe CEO of CD Projekt RED on the company’s latest financial results conference call.

Cyberpunk 2077 expansion will be the last project based on the RED Engine, all future productions will be made in Unreal Enginesaid Kicinski.

The CEO of the Polish company therefore emphasized that the final transition toUnreal Engine 5 will be achieved with the fourth chapter of The Witcher while the latest project realized with the patented graphics engine Red Engine will be the “extension” of Cyberpunk 2077 in the singular.

Kicinski’s words therefore seem to confirm that Cyberpunk 2077 receives no further content in terms of story and missions once the DLC is released in 2023. An indication that the studio may have decided to scrap plans for other previously planned DLCs.

Originally, the game should have gotten two expansions, but it’s pretty clear that the issues are related to post-publication, as well as the plight of the development team caused the team to lean towards one of them review of plans after launch.
