Atlantico Governor Elsa Noguera took the flag for the Barranquilla 2027 Parapan American Games this Sunday in Santiago de Chile.

President was invited American Paralympic Committee He attended the closing ceremony of the 2023 Parapan American Games in Santiago de Chile and received his flag. Chilean Sports Minister Jaime Pizarro.
“It is a great pleasure to receive this flag because I came today not only as Governor, but as a representative of the disabled population,” the President said.

“Disabled people want to tell you there are no limits and “When we have joy in our hearts, we can conquer the world.”underlined the governor.
Noguera added that Barranquilla started organizing the Games eight days ago and that its aim is to make Barranquilla a more inclusive city beyond organizing this major sporting event.
Julio César Ávila, President of the American Paralympic Committee (APC), Barranquilla stated that the 2027 Parapan American Games “will be an arena where parathletes will showcase their talents, abilities and leave the name of their country high.”
He thanked La Noguera for opening the doors of Atlántico and Barranquilla so that such an event could be held. “Thanks to his work, the paradigm of disability in Colombia is changing. Organizing these Games is a great responsibility, but also represents a great opportunity.”
Luis Restrepo, manager of Indeportes Atlántico, said: Last week, he announced that a commission from the Atlantic Government and the Mayor of Barranquilla participated in the observer program to find out how the Pan American and Parapan American Games are run, what their operation and logistics are like.

“Food, transfer, accommodation, storage, awards, stage, assembly and everything that comes with a Games of this size. We now leave with very important information to be able to make a master plan and work according to a schedule,” the official said.
