From August 30th snow storm blocks the sale of loot box in his popular video game overwatch. All loot boxes that are still closed will be automatically exported to Overwatch 2 during game release.

Overwatch 2 it will be released on October 4, 2022 and, unlike its predecessor, will be a free-to-play title. Blizzard also explained that the loot boxes purchased or obtained in the first chapter not only stay in the player’s inventory, but open automatically when they first log into Overwatch 2.

With Overwatch 2, the company has decided to permanently abandon the loot box model. The new chapter introduces an important and radical change in the game economy: no longer a loot box but a store where users can freely decide which skins or digital items to buy, without arbitrary elements. However, the pivot of Overwatch 2 monetization will rest on the sale of battle pass.

At launch, Overwatch 2 players will only find the P2P multiplayer mode, while the anticipated PvE campaign won’t be introduced until a later date. Overwatch 2 will be available October 4 on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PC, PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
