Striking Distance Studios plans to support The Callisto protocol for a full year after launch with the release of several DLC. CTO Mark James revealed it to TrueTrophies mics during an interview.
We also see The Callisto Protocol as a “full-service” game we will invest in DLCs. We are aiming for support for the whole year after launch,” said CTO Mark James.
We have ensured that the game can be expanded in the future. We’ve created a world that can tell different stories and so we can do this through DLCs, or we could tell them in later products.
We like to think of this title as a franchise: every developer likes to think of it as an investment when creating a new IP. It is very expensive to generate a new IP address, so we always want to get the most out of it.
James finally added that in the DLC of The Callisto Protocol we could see the introduction”different modes”, some of which may have been inspired by other survival horror games.
Recently, Mark James also revealed that the Callisto protocol is a trophy who will ask to die in every way, confirming that during our stay in the Black Iron prison we will be able to discover death in different ways by confronting monstrous enemies who will remember the Xenomorphs or Alien Isolation in their behavior.
The Callisto protocol is available from: Dec 2 for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One.
